Description

Situated high above the Columbia River, in North Central Washington, Gamble Sands is blessed with one of nature's great locations and dramatic golf settings. Much like its older brothers and sisters in the linksland of Scotland, this beauty has 18 consecutive holes that were discovered - not constructed.

David McLay Kidd, the Scottish Architect, and author of Bandon Dunes, describes this site as "once in a lifetime." He certainly took advantage of this opportunity to create one of the great links experiences in the world.

No matter the direction, views include the snow covered Cascade Mountains, thousands of acres of manicured apple and cherry orchards, multiple river vistas and mountains of black basalt. Coming August 1, 2014 one of golf blessings is about to become reality.

Putting Green - Cascade Putting Course

On a bluff high above the Columbia River Gorge the 100,000 square foot Cascade Putting Course is a wildly shaped, pure fescue putting course inspired by the ancient and famed Himalayas Putting Course at St Andrews. Laid out by Scottish Golf Course Architect David McLay Kidd, it allows golfers and non-golfers to enjoy the game together, a perfect spot for all the family. The course layout is regularly changed, don’t expect it to be benign or even fair, our aim is to hear hoops and hollers from every group!
